Is there a way to just flush out a heater core? Mine doesn't seem to put out much heat at times and my fluid level is most the time just over max a little, maybe by 1/2" - 1".
You can backflush the cooling system with the thermostat removed and this will give you the most efficent flush. When you are finished replace the thermostat with a new one and fill with fresh antifreeze and be sure to bleed all the air from the system.
